一、邀请别人来家中做客：

Host: Would you like some more pasta?

东道主：再来一点意大利面吧！

Guest: Yes, please.

客人：好的呢。

Host: Can I get you some more vegetables?

再吃点蔬菜吧！

Guest1: I’ve had enough. Thank you. /No, I’m good (or full). Thank you./Thank you, but I can’t take any more. I’m stuffed.

吃饱了，谢谢了您嘞！/俺吃饱了/我真的吃不下了。

Host: Here are the desserts. Please help yourself.

这是一些甜点，你自己拿着吃吧！

Guest: The ice cream is delicious. Can I have another helping of it?

这冰淇淋也太好吃了，我还想再吃一个呢！

Guest: I really had a great time here. Thank you so much for having me.

在这里吃的非常开心，谢谢您的盛情款待。

Host: It was a pleasure hosting you.

哪里哪里，我也很高兴宴请您呐。

二、如何邀请朋友或恋人喝点下午茶？

X: Do you want a cup of tea?/Would you like a cup of tea?/Can I get you a glass of water?

下午有空没？喝点茶去吧？

Y: Yes, please. /Yes, why not?/That would be great, thanks.

当然可以了，为什么不去？(你请就行)

X: May I get you a cup of tea?/ Do you care for a cup of tea? /Do you care for a cup of tea?/Would you like a cup of tea?

(走吧，老弟）下午一块喝个茶？

No, thanks. /No, not at the moment. Thanks./Thanks, but I’ve just had one.
