介词短语：英语句子中 介词短语一般放哪儿？

介词短语在句子中的位置，要看介词短语的作用，如果介词短语做表语用，则处于联系动词之后；如果介词短语作状语，位置就比较灵活，可以放在句首，也可以在句末；介词短语作定语的时候，放在被修饰的名次之后。

介词短语作表语，在系动词之后：

The bus drivers are on strike.公交司机们在罢工。

Miss Li is with him. 李老师和他在一起。

介词短语作状语，位置灵活：

In her letter, she said she would return next year. 在信中，她说明年要回来。

She looked at the photo in surprise. 她吃惊地看着照片。

如果介词短语表示方向、原因、目的、伴随等，一般处于句末，例如：

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.（表方向）

太阳东升西落。

He was blamed for telling a lie.（表原因）

他因为说谎而被责备。

It time for dinner.（表目的）

该吃晚饭了。

He came in with a book in hand.（表伴随）

他手里拿着一本书进来了。

但是，有时候为了强调状语，也可以把这种介词短语放在句首，例如：

In order to get the early bus, he got up earlier than usual.

为了赶上早班车，他起来的比平时早。

介词短语作定语，只能置于名词之后：

Have you ever seen a cat with a white tail? 你看到一只白尾巴的猫了吗？

The man with a big nose is Michael. 长着大鼻子的男人是麦克。

Daming is the boy in a blue coat. 大明是哪个穿着蓝色外套的男孩。
